Dear Sir,

I received your
letter a few days ago and can inform
you that I have had the gun repaired some
time ago and you can have it at any time
you call for it if you had called when you
were down last week you could have got it
I didn't know you were down until after you had
left or I would have sent you word it was
ready.

There is no news of importance that would
Interest you I believe at present in this part of
the world

We have a disease prevalent about here called the
Scarlet Rash but unattended with danger
I believe but nevertheless I am not at all
anxious to experience its affects on my own
Person I believe I would rather be excused in
a case of that kind

I received a letter from Waller last week he
speaks of coming up soon said they had had
quite a [revival] in Queensboro recenlty they are
all well in the Bend

Yours Truly

Alex Hamilton
